Job Opening: Driver at the Embassy of Slovenia in Beijing

About the Role:

The Embassy of Slovenia in Beijing is seeking a qualified and professional applicant for the position of Driver. This full-time role involves transporting the Ambassador, Diplomats, and other authorized personnel safely within Beijing and nearby areas. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness and serviceability, performing minor preventive maintenance, and assisting with other duties as required, including acting as a messenger or clerk.

Work Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours per week)

The candidate must be available to start within a reasonable period following the receipt of necessary agency authorization and/or clearances.

Duties:

Safely transport the Ambassador, Diplomats, and other authorized passengers within Beijing and surrounding areas.

Ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition, performing minor preventive maintenance as needed.

Act as a messenger or clerk as directed and provide support for other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Education: High school diploma required.

· Licensing: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Experience:

At least five years of professional driving experience, preferably for diplomatic missions or international organizations.

Job Knowledge:

Familiarity with Beijing’s traffic rules.

Knowledge of the locations of other diplomatic missions, government institutions, NGOs, and their surrounding areas.

Working Conditions:

Must be flexible and able to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as respond quickly to urgent requests.

Salary:

Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.

Language: Basic English communication

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read maps and plan driving routes effectively.

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to handle all individuals with professionalism and discretion.

Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance skills.

Additional Qualifications:

能在紧急情况下快速响应工作安排。
