LOCATION: AEA Store located in the US Embassy,Beijing
The following non-exhaustive list details some, but not all, of the duties and responsibilities of the Employee. Additional duties may be assigned at any time, solely at the discretion of the Association. Primary responsibilities include:
· Open the Locker according to the daily schedule:
· Mon-Fri: 9:00 – 17.30
· Saturday 10:00 - 2:00
· Update the daily Exchange rate at Cash register.
· Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedure or policies.
· Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
· Greet Customers clearly upon entering the Store and remind them of specials when checking out. Be aware of the products they are purchasing and any pairings that would be appropriate to suggest.
· Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
· Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas. Work with General Manager to keep the checkout areas updated, pleasing and enticing to customers.
· Process merchandise returns at the cash register after receiving approval from Assistant Manager of General Manager including completing the Returns Form and submitting it to Office Administrator
· Receive payments by cash, RMB or check.
· Sell shuttle tickets and stamps to Embassy employees and notify General Manager when stamps are running low.
· Distribute water coupons to Embassy employees per the AEA list. Notify Office Administrator when coupons are running low.
· Stock/Restock Shelves according to new product arrivals and product purchases and FIFO standards.
· Work with the General Manager to establish promotion racks in a pleasing and enticing manner to aid in the movement of “on sale” or slow moving items.
· Check expiration date on merchandise and move to sale rack when necessary. Track inventory to determine how long merchandise has been on the sale rack and when new merchandise is about to expire and move to the sale rack. Submit these reports weekly to the General Manager.
· Complete Inventory Movement Form when moving product from one warehouse to another and submit to Office Administrator to update Inventory Module.
· Clean Fridge and Freezer to established standards and with correct tools and products. Record Freezer temperature daily in the Log Book.
· Make Price Tags for the shelving and for products.
· ReceiveUScontainer and locally procured merchandise against the purchase orders when delivered.
· Confirm and pack up bulk orders for other Consulates.
· Assist Customers in picking up their Bulk orders, including verifying quantity and quality of merchandise.
· Submit a list of merchandise to Office Administrator or General Manager (depending on product) when product is low or out.
· Close the Locker and set alarm daily at closing time.
· Mandatory participation in Year End Inventory Count.
