Monthly salary (before tax and social security insurance deduction) will be between RMB14,000yuan and RMB17,000yuan which is based on the competencies and skills demonstrated by applicants in the interview and experiences.

The primary responsibility of the Research and Data Assistant is to support strategy development by conducting research and analytical work, providing data on relevant infrastructure sectors and supporting the administrative side of strategy development.

Job Description:

Department: Strategy, Policy and Budget Department

The key responsibilities for the Research and Data Assistant include but are not limited to:

lConducting literature reviews of documents related with strategy   development from relevant sources (other IFIs, national development banks, private sector, research institutes and other) on key infrastructure sectors, including energy, transport, water and other productive sectors.

lAcquiring, compiling, organizing and managing qualitative and quantitative data on key infrastructure sectors from various sources in a systematic matter.

lAnalyzing the relevant studies, documents and statistics and providing timely, high-quality and fit for purpose information, statistics and reports on key issues in infrastructure sectors to support development of strategies.

lAnalyzing best practices in data management, strategy and policy making; results monitoring and reporting and make recommendations as appropriate.

lContribute to the drafting and reviewing of strategy documents being developed for internal and external uses.

lProducing documents, presentations to effectively communicate Bank strategies and policies both internally and externally.

lIdentifying, keeping record of and liaising with internal and external stakeholders relevant for strategy development.

lPlanning and organizing seminars, conferences, meetings, workplans and travels relevant for strategy development.

lSupporting the recruitment and monitoring of consultants and their travels and meetings as part of strategy development.

lAssisting with the other administrative work of the Strategy Unit and the Department.

lConducting any other work as required by supervisors.

 

Selection Criteria:

uMinimum bachelor’s degree in economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Analytics & Management or equivalent.

uExcellent proficiency of professional writing and speaking of English.

uAbility to think independently while working under supervision.

uProficiency in common statistical software, data analysis, and data visualization as well as Microsoft Office programs word, excel, power point and others.

uMinimum 2 years of work experience in a similar position in relevant organizations. Experience in multi-cultural organizations will be a significant plus.

uDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

uA high level of personal integrity, self-motivation, sense of responsibility and genuine commitment to corporate values of the AIIB.

uDemonstrated ability to work within teams in a cooperative manner with a clear vision to add value.

uAbility to work under tight deadlines.
