Profile of LCC
Beijing Language and Cultural Centre for Diplomatic Missions (LCC) is an institution that provides language services specialized in teaching Chinese as a second language and offering content-based cultural lessons.
LCC was established in 1956. Over the past five decades, people of various circles from more than 100 different countries have studied here, including former US president George Bush senior, former Indian president Kocheril Raman Narayanan and over 300 ambassadors. We’ve also been sending Chinese teachers to the Royal Palace of Thailand to teach HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn since 1983. At present, apart from diplomatic staff, the wider international business community in Beijing forms another major source of students for LCC.

LCC’s summer camp and summer day-care programme are quite popular with both international and domestic students and their parents. LCC has been working with United Nations International School by providing the students with Chinese Spring Camp. Students can not only learn mandarin, but also have a tour of historical places in Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai so as to understanding Chinese culture and experiencing traditional Chinese customs. In addition, our summer day-care programme is designed for kids aged from 5 – 12 years old. With the delicately designed courses such as interesting English class, classic sinology class, English singing and dancing class, etc, LCC has become a Home of Happiness for both Chinese and foreign children in the summer.
