Yunkang’s Property Management Department Conducts Winter Safety Checks
2018-02-07

The big fire happened in the southern suburb of Beijing left heavy tolls and damages to the lives and property of the people on 18th November 2017. It sounded the alarm to the Property Management for the safety of the DSB owned housing properties, comprising of 33 apartment buildings and 9 traditional compounds under its care, fire hazards being the top priority.

Heeding the call for fire alertness in the winter season issued by the HSC Fire Fighting-Security Department, the Property Management of the Yunkang Company held an emergency meeting on 29 November, presided over by Zhang Chaoying and Su Hong, assistant general manager and Property Management director, respectively, and participated by the executives of all property management sections to make a plan for security and fee collecting before the end of the year.

Zhang and Su made detailed presentations on the fire fighting and security arrangements, demanding all sections to conduct self-inspection on fire hazard elimination to clear out all risky and inflammable items like the fallen tree leaves and twigs, obstructive objects in the compounds and hallways to ensure accessibility of the fire passages and readiness of the fire extinguishing equipment and facilities. Feedback on problems uncovered in the self-inspections was required before 8th December to make sure there was no “blind-spot” in the fire fighting preparedness. Also, the Property Management officials were required to work together with the local neighborhood committees to conduct publicity events to raise fire risk awareness of the residents.

Within 3 working days, the Property Management staff and employees had already covered all the DSB owned residential compounds across the city to paste flyers, conduct fire hazard awareness publicity events and oversaw the removal of inflammables in the compounds and buildings posing particular potential risks in the winter season.

To safeguard the physical and property safety of the residents having been the Property Management’s top priority always, all efforts will be made to ensure the DSB housing property security.

Since the change of fee-collection approach began in the year before the last, there is still room of improvement on the basis of the 86% payment rate. The property management executives requested continued and greater endeavors to reach this year’s target of collection increase.
