Security Boost for Ranking US Delegation

A senior ranking delegation from the United States signed in St. Regis Beijing on 8 November for a 3-day visit. Being part of the security arrangement, the Jianwai DRC, next door to the hotel, collaborated with the plan. On 3 November, following instructions of the Ministry of Public Security, DSB Security Department and HSC Fire Fighting and Security Department, the DRC Property Management made its own security boost and emergency plan and all the related staff was mobilized. 

Basing on the requirements of the plan, Gate 2 and entrance to the underground parking lot outside the compound were closed and 30 parking spaces preserved for temporary needs of the St. Regis. Moreover, commanding points facing the street on top of the buildings were put under control by sealing up all accesses. The security personnel stepped up patrol to monitor and control the windows and balconies overlooking the street. 

Attaching great importance to the task, Mr. Guo Lifeng, Mr. Liu Yong, Mr. Huang Debiao and Mr. Chen Xu, DSB and HSC security executives, all toured the scene to offer advices. 

The task came to a successful close without a hitch on 10 November when the delegation eventually left the hotel.
