Tayuan DRC Organizes Fun Sports Meeting
2017-12-04

To promote traditional Chinese culture, offer diverse activities to the after-work life of the residents and build a bridge of communication between the Property Management and customers, the Tayuan DRC organized a fun sports meeting on 28 October 2017, coupled with the Bank of China E-community App promotion. Taking place at the DRC’s central garden, the event was participated by some 80 diplomatic envoys and families from the United States, Germany, Kazakhstan, India, Papua New Guinea as well as UNICEF. Mr. Zhang Yue, HSC general manager, and Mr. Liu Yong, HSC deputy general manager, were also present.

The sports meeting began with a performance of the Tai Chi Boxing and Fan Dance at 3 p.m. to the accompaniment of Chinese classic music. Mr. Ren Guanghui, the Property Management director, delivered the welcoming speech and said, “I am so pleased to have the opportunity to meet all of you to celebrate the opening of the first ever Fun Sports Meeting organized for our tenants. Themed around traditional Chinese culture, this Property Management has offered a number of customer reach-out activities in 2017, with today’s event being a very important one. I hope all contestants will achieve good results and have fun at the same time.”

The competition began, as the participants were broken up into 30 groups on family basis to compete in games of sandbag throwing, loop trundling, shuttlecock kicking, rope skipping and ping-pong race, all traditional children’s sports in the olden day Hutongs of Beijing.

In the sandbag throwing, while it was not extremely hard for the adults to throw it into a bucket 5 meters away, it proved to be a sort of challenge for the young children. In the loop trundling, various approaches of the competitors drew waves of laughter from the spectators. In the rope skipping, the jumpers’ performances were varied, as some lost their shoes for the trip-ups. Shuttlecock kicking was a big challenge to many of the contestants, particularly the first timers, who would chase after the object all over the playground. The final event of ping-pong race brought a lot of loud cheers from the spectators.

After an hour or so of intensive efforts, the winners came out to receive prizes from Mr. Zhang Yue, Mr. Liu Yong and Mr. Ren Guanghui, amid thunderous applauses from the audience and fellow competitors.

The Property Management employees, whilst busied themselves with helping with the games, promoted the Bank of China E-community App by assisting the interested customers to download the App and sign in, informing them how to make use of the functions, including the online services of Repair Request, Event Participation Application and Bill Payment, and that their comments and suggestions for the App would be solicited before the end of the year.

When the meeting came to an end, the Property Management asked the participants’ comments on the event and came to know that the local children’s games offered such a totally new experience that enabled them to learn more about the Chinese traditions in a relaxed and homelike ambiance.

This Department will organize and offer more diverse customer reach-out activities, following our motto of Customers First, to make the Tayuan DRC an international residential community of harmony and interconnectivity.
