Party Committees HSC and Bank of China Enter into Partnership

The Party Committees of HSC (South) and Business Department of the Bank of China Beijing Branch entered into party building partnership at Meeting Room 3 of Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building on 4 August 2017. Some 40 people took part in the meeting, including Ms. Jiang Qi, executive deputy director general of DSB, Jin Yuming and Wang Haiyan, respectively vice president and Party secretary of the Bank of China Beijing Branch, and Wang Lejiang, Party Committee HSC (South) secretary.

The meeting participants began by watching HSC and BOC promotional documentaries, which was followed by the Party secretaries of the two sides giving overviews on the basic information and achievements of the two Party Committees. Then they shared Party building experiences to learn more about each other.

In a friendly and warm atmosphere, the Party secretaries signed the Party Building Partnership Agreement, which symbolized a fresh start of the Party building efforts of the two sides. Basing on the partnership, the counterparts would endeavor for common business development to achieve the goal of promoting business through Party building.

The senior officials from the two sides delivered speeches upon signing of the agreement. Mr. Jin said, the successful launching of the partnership owed largely to the attention and support of Mr. Yuan Weimin, director general of DSB, and Mr. Wang Hongjian, Party secretary of BOC Beijing Branch, in answer to the Party members’ enthusiasm and aspirations. He hoped the step would offer an opportunity for the two sides to further communicate and learn from each other and promote the long-term development of the two corporations 

Eventually, Ms. Jiang Qi gave her reflections on the joint efforts in Party building of the two sides and put forward expectations for the work next stage. She started by congratulating on the Agreement signing and continued to say that, with 72 Party branches and 2380 Party members, the DSB considered party building partnership an innovation of the Party work at the grassroot level. To do well in party building at the grassroot level was the foundation for business performance. As the first-ever such case, HSC was playing a role model. Next, the two sides would make practical efforts for the partnership to perform satisfactorily. In recent years, the two sides had conducted genuine cooperation in respect of the Bank of China E-Community App and AIIB Project, having achieved sound results, due to practical endeavors. Basing on the business cooperation, the Party building partnership would further raise the collaboration level. She hoped that thorough and down-to-earth efforts would be made in an innovative way to promote business developments. Finally, the BOC dedication to “targeted poverty alleviation” was very well established and perceived and HSC must learn from the experiences and join the movement through integrating its corporate strengths and push it to the entire DSB and diplomatic community in Beijing by making common endeavors to fulfill our social responsibility. 

The ceremonial meeting participants toured the Laingmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building when the event came to a close and had a bird-eye view of the Embassy Zone 3. 

The Party building partnership is considered a good experiment, as the Agreement signing beckons a fresh start. Through it, the two sides would learn from each other, conduct technological exchange, corporate culture integration and information sharing to promote Party members’ honesty and integrity and achieve win-win results with joint efforts in the hope of opening a new chapter n the Party building drive.
