Tayuan DRC Party Branch organizes discipline education

Basing on the instruction of the Communist Party of China’s Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and DSB and to promote the sense of discipline, the Tayuan DRC Party Branch conducted a Discipline Education Month for the Party members in June-July 2017. 

The Party members under the branch were gathered on 3 July to watch a documentary untitled « Warning », composed of four case studies of the path of downfall for corruption of four offenders who ended up in jail. It told the viewers to guard themselves against temptations with a sense of respect and prudence and make themselves loyal, honest and responsible members of the Communist Party of China. The participants were also briefed on five cases of discipline violation, as a reminder for all Party members to observe the rules and prevent corruption by respecting the law and watching out for the pitfalls. 

Ren Guanghui, the Party Branch secretary, told the participants that, taking the Discipline Education Month as an opportunity, the Party members should constantly stay alert and develop a sense of discipline before the opening of the 19^th Party Congress later this year by behaving appropriately. 

Some 20 members of the Party branch also visited the Prince Gong's Mansion - the education center for clean government of the central Party and government departments - on 6 July. 

Built more than 200 years ago, the Prince Gong’s Mansion is the largest noble mansion ever constructed during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The Party members were shown the majestic buildings and garden and listened to the tour guide’s narratives of the rise and fall of the former owner of the house. Eventually, the Party members agreed that they had learned an important lesson from the stories and understood better the necessity of the Party central authorities’ efforts to build a clean and honest Party and government. 

The members under the Party branch took then part in an integrity and honesty quiz from 3 to 7 July 2017. More than half of them being veteran Party members, they made devoted efforts in the test despite the suffocating heat of the after-work hours. They said that taking part in the education campaign gave them a deeper understanding of the Party disciplines and requirements and enhanced their ethics awareness, to stay clean and honest and to be on guard against corruption. 

Thanks to the sound planning and preparation, the education month has helped the Party officials and members to establish a right view on power, position and self-interest for better morality building, instilling in them a positive energy to behave properly and satisfactorily.
