LCC held a paper-cutting class for ladies of Indian Embassy

On May 16, 2016, Beijing Language and Cultural Center for Diplomatic Missions (LCC) held an cultural experience class on paper-cutting for the Indian Embassy. 26 ladies including the wife of Indian Ambassador to China attended the class. At first, Ms Ren Kexin, the teacher briefly introduced the traditional folk art --- paper-cutting and its basic methods. After that, the ladies took part in paper cutting themselves and made several symmetrical patterns such as “囍 ” which means “double happiness" in Chinese and some animal patterns. At the end of the class, the ladies were happy to show each other their piece of work. They said that the paper-cutting lesson made them enjoy the art, and they hoped to have more opportunities to learn paper-cutting, one of the Chinese folk arts with scissors and knives.
