Organized by the BDS Department of Administrative Affairs in response to the call of the Civil Affairs Department of the Dongcheng District of Beijing in 2014 for donation of winter clothes to help the needy, the BDS event entitled the "Winter Clothing Donation Month 2014" was brought to a successful conclusion in merely 2 days, thanks to the coordinated arrangements made by the Administrative Affairs Department, with the donated garments ready for shipping to the disaster stricken and underdeveloped regions. The event amassed 45 sweaters, 49 cotton-padded clothes and 9 cotton-padded quilts, 103 pieces altogether in 10 packages.

As an institution contributing to the “Spiritual Civilization Construction” initiative in Beijing, the BDS has been an eager participant in the cause of poverty relief for remote and underdeveloped regions by providing educational assistance to the disadvantaged children from migrant workers’ families and, particularly, to the underprivileged groups, and by regularly organizing donation events. BDS staffs and employees have frequently taken active parts in various BDS donation events. No effort is spared for public benefit purposes. Organized by the BDS Department of Administrative Affairs with passionate response from the staffs and employees, the BDS has developed a habit of organizing and participating in public benefit activities with a profound understanding of the value of mutual help, and has achieved outstanding results. The successful conclusion of the latest event is one more display of the caring hearts of our staff. Thanks to the routine donating system as well as the well coordinated arrangements made and assistance provided by our co-workers, the Department of Administrative Affairs was able to successfully make preparations for the event held on the scheduled date at short notice and deliver the donated clothing to the official in charge the next day without a hitch. We would also like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratefulness to our fellow BDS employees and colleagues from the Yunkang Corporation for their support.

Next, the donated stuff will be delivered to the needy in the remote and underdeveloped regions under the coordination of the Civil Affairs Department of the Dongcheng District. It is hoped that the winter clothes with our caring and compassion will bring warmth and protection to the people in need.
